12-Step and Support Meetings via WebCam

Technology = Accessibility: Here’s a new twist on 12-step meetings. Deaf Off Drugs and Alcohol (DODA) is now offering meetings for Deaf folks via webcam. If anyone is interested in checking out this option, we’ve posted DODA’s flyer below. We’d love to hear back about personal experiences with this exciting new option for support.

All you need is a computer with a web-cam,
high-speed internet and an email account.

    HI MY NAME IS HOMER IM ADDIC AND IM DEAF VERY HARD HEARING TRYING TO GET MY WEEB CAM. GOING SORRY NO PICTURE WHAT DO I NEED TO GET 12STEP GROUP ON LINE I THINK THIS PROGRAM CAN HELP ME AS WELL OTHERS THERE IS VEREY LITTLE HELP FOR THE DEAF ADDIC I WOULD LIKE TO JOIN YOUR 12 STEP I HAVE DEAF FRIEND WHO ALSO NEED HELP HOW DO I ASSES THIS PROGRAM PLEASE HELP

    Hi, Cocaine Anonymous is hosting the 2011 World Convention in Phoenix Az. May 26-30 at the Az. Biltmore Resort. I am the Special Needs Chair for this comittee and would like to invite you to attend. There will be an interpreter for at least three main speaker meetings,Fri 7pm,Sat 7pm and Sun 8pm. also the interpreter is available to do workshops if there is interest. I apologise for such short notice and do hope you would attend. thank you James C

    Is this site even active anymore. I have been attempting to assist a deaf individual with meetings but have had no luck. Just want to find good online meetings for the deaf and am having little luck aside from the general chat rooms. I have attempted to contact the above person twice and have not gotten a response. I have had a similar problem with all of the sites I have attempted.
